Once you decide on an international relocation agent, a Certified Move Manager will be assigned to coordinate every aspect of your relocation from origin to destination in coordination with our U.S. agents, overseas partners and underlying carriers, all of which have long-term relationships with Liberty Relocation International and therefore have a vested interested in the success of every move.

Your Certified Move Manager is trained in all aspects of international pricing, forwarding logistics, overseas transit protection policies, customer services, documentation requirements and distribution as well as accounting processes.  With an average of 20 years experience in the international relocation industry, our Move Managers know the "ins and outs" to coordinate your international relocation successfully.  While your personal household effects are in transit, your Certified Move Manager will:

  • Contact you within 24 hours of new move notification to exchange origin and destination contact information
  • Offer a country information to help acquaint you with your destination country
  • Review customs regulations and documents required for customs clearance
  • Explain insurance policy and related products (if applicable)
  • Confirm details and pack/load dates with you and our agent in your local area
  • Reconfirm scheduled pack/load date with you and our agent in your local area the day before services are to be performed
  • Contact the employee on pack/load date to ensure everything is going well and answer any questions
  • Make all necessary arrangements with the underlying carriers (transport to port of exit, port of exit handling, international transportation, port of entry handling, customs clearance, transport to destination agent, delivery)
  • Monitor the transport of your personal household effects from origin to destination with Liberty Relocation International. Our system is an automated date tracking workflow that prompts the Certified Move Manager to confirm services with each underlying carrier at appropriate times to ensure your shipment is transported without delay.

We would also like to introduce you to some of the terms in international lingo:
 
FCL- Full Container Loads.

LCL- Less Than Container Loads

THC- Terminal Handling Charges

Customs Clearance- We will clear the title of your car and process your passport and handle all the necessary paperwork and container clearance at the destination port including scanning and fumigation of the container, saves you a lot of leg work.

Packing and Crating- Our professional experienced international movers will provide you with excellent wrapping and special handling of your fragile dishes and artwork.
Inventory- Every shipment will have a full detailed itemized list of all your personal goods. It will be an excellent source of information to the insurance company and customs.

Marine insurance- A full replacement ‘ALL RISK’ policy may be purchased with the help of your move manager. He will explain the benefit of a full cover insurance protection from any possible damages to
Your cargo at the port or at sea.

Container- There are different sizes of containers, 20’, 40’, 40 high cube and 45’ container. Ask your move manager about the right size for you.

Air Shipment- Depending on your final destination an Air shipment can cut weeks off your move. Unlike ocean shipments Air shipment are calculated by volume weight.

Palletize- A smaller shipment that is an LCL (Less than a container) is subject to a consolidation process, in that process we combine smaller shipment into a shared container. Each shipment must be Raised above the ground and placed on a wooden pallet than arranged perfectly and finally shrink wrapped over and over again. That process keeps all the items together and safe.

Destination Agent- Are the professional pre arranged moving companies in other countries. Their job is to release shipments from customs and deliver the shipment to its final destination. After they deliver they also unwrap the cargo and clean all debris.
