5. Insurance Policy copy (if any) or estimated value of the cargo
6. Delivery Address
7. Contact details of the client
8. Original Car Title
9. Letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FOR DIPLOMAT SHIPMENTS)
CUSTOMS RULES AND DOCUMENTATION FOR IMPORTING CARS:
NOTE: Custom duty will apply for the car and will amount to 5 to 7 % assessed by the customs.
All cars 5yrs and older are not allowed to be imported in UAE, effective January, 2009.
RATE INCLUDES:
Normal customs clearance
Customs Inspections
Destination THC
Documentation
Transportation of personal effects to residence with normal access and parking space
Unloading, unpacking & fixing/reassembly of furniture
Removal of debris
RATE EXCLUDES:
Customs Duty, VAT and Sales Tax if applicable, Handy man service, B/L exchange fee if any,
will be charged @ US$ 75.00 per B/L, Assembling of new / flat packed furniture, Delivery outside city limits, Extra
deliveries / Split deliveries, Container Quay rent & Demurrage costs, intensive customs examination, abnormal access,
delivery with long carry / steps, above 2nd floor without elevator, Special lifting equipment (Pianos, tool boxes, safes,
etc.), Difficult carry, Weekend & Public Holiday delivery.
NOTE:
Whilst packing please ensure not to include pornographic CD’S, video cassettes, literature, nude statues,
carvings, paintings of pornographic nature or religious blasphemy, alcohol, arms & ammunitions. These
are subjected to intensive screen by the customs and ministry of information.
It normally takes 5 to 7 working days to clear & deliver the shipment after the arrival of the cargo. The
free time allowed by liners is seven days for FCL & 15 days for LCL shipments. |
