DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- Certificate of Change of Residence
- "Attestation reservation de cale"
- Inventory in French, detailed, valued, and dated and signed by the shipper
- Letter of transfer from the shipper’s employer
- Certificate for Definitive Settlement (for returning citizens only)
- Passport (include page showing entry permit)
DUTIABLE/RESTRICTED ITEMS
- All electrical items and furniture must be more than six months old or they are subject to payment of customs duties and taxes
- Invoices required
- Home computers are not accepted as personal effects and will be subject to customs duties and import taxes
PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Alcohol and other spirits are prohibited and should be sent separately. Only the mention of "Fond de cave" (less than 30 bottles) is acceptable.
MOTOR VEHICLES
- Highly taxed and new autos are also dutiable
- Documents required:
- Original registration papers
- Invoice
